Patrick Devanthéry
Patrick Devanthéry was born in Sion (CH) in 1954. He finished his studies in architecture at the Federal Polytechnical School of Lausanne (EPFL) in 1980. He continued his studies in history and theory of architecture as a member of the Swiss Institute of Rome and became chief assistant at the ArchitectureSchool of the University of Geneva for Professor Bruno Reichlin where he headed the Modern heritage and conservation conferences (1990-1995).
In 1996 and 1999, he was invited as a professor at the Gradute School of Design, GSDHarvardUniversity. He was co-editor of the revue Faces - Journal d’architecture at Geneva from 1989 to 2004. From 2005 to 2008, he is the president of the Swiss Architects Federation (FAS). President of numerous international competition juries, he is also invited as a lecturer and critic in Europe, the United States, and Canada.
In 1983 he founded and became co-director, with Inès Lamunière, of Devanthéry&Lamunière, architects, specializing in heritage restoration and town planning. In 2007, the society was transformed into a Public company, under the corporate name of dl-a, designlab-architecture s.a.
In 2001 he became co-director, in association with Inès Lamunière and Bruno Marchand, of DeLaMa, urban and environmental designers.
In 2008 he became co-director, in association with Inès Lamunière and Vincent Mas Durbec, of dl-i, designlab-intérieurs Sàrl. |

Inès Lamunière
Inès Lamunière was born in Geneva in 1954. She finished her studies in architecture at the Federal Polytechnical School of Lausanne (EPFL) in 1980. She continued her studies in history and theory of architecture as a member of the Swiss Institute of Rome and became an assistant at the Federal Polytechical School of Zurich (ETHZ) for Professor Werner Oechslin.
She was named professor of theory and critic of architecture projects at the ETHZ, then at the EPFL in 1994. She founded and presently heads the Architecture and Urban Mobility Laboratory (LAMU) since 2001. In 1996, 1999 and 2008, she was invited as a professor at the Gradute School of Design, GSD Harvard University. From 1st September 2008, she is Chairwoman of the School of Architecture at the EPFL.
She was co-editor of the revue Faces - Journal d’architecture at Geneva from 1989 to 2004 and she is international reporter for the iranian revue A/U Architecture & Urbanism since 2008. She is also invited as a lecturer and critic in Europe, the United States, and Canada.
She has published a book on the theory of urban architecture "Fo(u)r Cities" (2004) and an essay on the contemporary perception of on the menace and its incidences on architecture in "Habiter la Menace" (2006) with both works edited by the Swiss-French Polytechical University Press, Lausanne, and an essay about the perception of the nature in an urban environment "Natural and Urban, Green and Grey" a collaboration between EPFL and GSD Harvard University (2009).

Olivier Andréotti
Born in Puteaux (F) in 1958.
He studied at the National School of Fine Arts of Lyon from 1979 to 1981, then at the Architecture School of the University of Geneva where he obtained his diploma in 1989 under the supervision of Professor Bruno Reichlin.
In 1990, he joins the Devanthéry&Lamunière office, where he is notably head collaborator for the primary school and leisure center of Grand-Saconnex (GE), the Adlung Villa in Tannay (VD), the elevation and transformation of the Cornavin Hotel (GE), the Center of Psychiatric Treatment for Northern Vaud in Yverdon (VD), and the Life Science Faculty at the EPF Lausanne (VD).
Since 2001, he helps manage the office and has become chief architect for all collaborators. With this title, he supervises projects in elaboration and actively participates in the organization of the work. |

Vincent Mas Durbec
Born in Saint-Tropez (F) in 1974
Studied at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Marseille, and then at the EPF Lausanne in the field of modern architectural preservation.
Since 1999, he has been working at Devanthéry&Lamunière, while also pursuing architectural project conception and various research activities. He also participated in ”The Construction of the Clarté Building” exhibition at the l'Accademia d'Architettura de Mendrisio. His activities within the team focus on renovation work, ranging from “identical” restoration for buildings with high historical value, heavy transformations directed by new programs, simple work to conform to contemporary norms, and customized work of interior spaces.
This practice led him to start the company dl-i, designlab-intérieurs Sàrl, which he co-directs since 2008 in association with Patrick Devanthéry and Inès Lamunière.
